15.12.2007 - Thunderdome XV @Amsterdam

15 grudnia 2007 r. odbędzie się 31 już edycja prawdopodobnie najpopularniejszej imprezy hardcore na świecie. Kto nie słyszał o Thunderdome organizowanym przez holenderskiego giganta ID-T lepiej niech się wstydzi. Zagrają nie tylko największe gwiazdy sceny hardcore, ale także ci, którzy swoją przygodę za konsoletą rozpoczynali na tej imprezie m.in. The Prophet.

Historia Thunderdome rozpoczęła się 20 czerwca 1992 roku. Dzięki Thunderdome: The Final Exam rozpoczęła się popularyzacja muzyki typu hardcore oraz gabber. Od 1993 roku ID-T rozpoczęło wydawanie płyt cd opatrzonych logo eventu, na których znajdował się przede wszystkim gabber. Dotychczas wydano 44 krążki CD (w tym 13 wydań specjalnych) oraz 21 vinyli. Sprzedawano także inne gadżety: czapki, t-shirty a nawet napój energetyczny "Thundertaste". W roku 2000 przerwano tworzenie projektu, jednak już w 2001 został wznowiony. Thunderdome doczekało się także edycji poza granicami Holandii: dwa razy w Niemczech (lata '94, '95), Belgii ('96, '97) a nawet w Australii w roku 1995.

W 1998 roku Thunderdome zawital nawet do stanow, jest to w sumie malo znany fakt. Dzieki Rob Gee, w klubie Tunnel, najwiekrzym klubie w NYC odbylo sie pare imprez pod nazwa Thunderdome US... niestety nie cieszyly sie one popularnoscia taka jak w europie, no i projekt upadl.
Przez prawie rok w klubie "Screwy Luis" w Kearny - New Jersey tez odbywaly sie tygodniowki na ktorych zagrali tacy ludzie jak Rob Gee, Omar Santana, Lenny Dee, Tense, Rotterdam Terror Corps, Delirium, Psykopath, Meanace, Siege, Nevermind i paru innych miejscowych dji... byla to kontynuacja tego co w sumie nie wypalilo w klubach. Chociaz nie wyszlo to w Nowo Jorkskich klubach, w malym klubie w New Jersey bylo zawsze pelno ludzi... pogo... dzialo sie...
Pare lat wczesniej w Los Angeles ID&T probowali takze zorganizowac impreze Thunderdome, niestety poniewaz frekwencja zainteresowanych byla za duza impreza zostala zamknieta zanim sie nawet zaczela...
